we marcht a small distance to the write / two Ships that was beating up the river fir'd a few Shot at us / we continued hear a Nower or two, the hasans made up towards a fort that was on butses hill / Nobody being met we preceed'd thair move / we set out for the fort & jist made out to geet into it before thay come up the hill / then the enemy made back again to a small hill a bout a mild from this fort ware thay mad a stand / at Night our rijement went on the Lower Lines.
