1784

On the 28th of February, Lt Col Jeremiah Olney arrived at the State House on North Main Street. On behalf of the officers, he presented to the Governor and General Assembly the colours of the Rhode Island Regiment. Although the active service of the regiment had ended it would be many years until the back pay would be issued to the men along with pensions due.
